I left Aer Lingus to be a carer for my stroke suffering Da. My Ma couldn't look after him, so I did. Two siblings lived abroad and the one in Dublin was an alcoholic taxi driver. I was glad I did what I did, meaning that they never had to go into the human equivalent of a kill shelter.
