Hal never kill a mans Dreams as a mans dreams is all a man or girl has .Good parenting is helping kids to follow their path not yours .Hope she finds success just like your boy they are following their path in the arts our Folks would of slapped us if we said we wanted to act or sing instead of weld or spanner .If I had parents who supported my dreams I wouldnt be typing here and now .Best of Luck to her GO FOR IT .

Funny ye should mention that John but he packed up college in Dundalk and was gonna start in BIMM on Francis St but the whole college thing is fuked up so he decided he wasn't spending his coin on it so he got himself an apprenticeship(Carpenter)....he seems to be enjoying it...out the door at 7am every morning,Sat work curtailed during level 5.
Daughter can go back to education if she wishes,there's more opportunities now than just the group,inter and leaving cert.

I know one of his class mates no names but he quit as well .Think they thought it was a course to Stardom .Carpentry is an art form it has little to do with  a chop saw and a sliding bevel or mortice block .If he is happy then he has found his path .Nothing stopping him strumming or following his art .

He's still writing and playing but covid has played havoc as we all know.

A lot of the expectations around the leaving cert comes from the parents and teachers.It's nowhere near as important as it used to be.Plenty of folks didn't go to college and make good money.You have yer whole life to go back to school.
