https://www.nationaltransport.ie/spsv-industry-consumer-surveys/A confidential telephone survey of SPSV drivers nationwide and an online survey of consumers was carried out in September/October 2020. These surveys aimed to establish how services have changed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and covered areas such as demand, operational expenses and insurance, together with other topical items for the industry. The following findings were obtained.

- 17% of fleet = WAV
- 23% of drivers intend to quit/retire in the next 3 years, rising to 60% of those over 65 and higher outside Dublin and in smaller towns/rural areas. (caution: small base)
- Earnings down 61%
- 71% of Dublin drivers affiliated with an app provider
- Misc other items I didn't mention.
