Don't Irish ministers and civil servants travel regularly to EU meetings?  Biden has had the vaccine so, in theory, he is safe from the virus.  Therefore no reason the meeting can't happen.

Paddys Day is in 5 weeks .Mick from Cork would need to be needled 2 weeks before he travels .In 3 weeks time they will announce that the lockdown is extended and you will need to be jailed in a Hotel if you travel .The PR disaster if he Goes .Mary from the Navan Road will Kick his arse all over the Convention center but the Big Issue is will Biden actually invite him .Biden played the Irish Card got the Irish American Vote he wont run again in 4 years as he will be nearly a Billion years old by then so dosent need to play the Plastic Paddy anymore .My best guess is They have a Snapchat or Facetime or Zoom meeting and when Biden is Traveling to Britain in June for the G7 meeting he will stop off in Dublin to let the Paddys Grovel and forlock tug and a bit of Cap donning .

Has anybody actually said Mick from Cork was invited ?

Rodent the main issue is Bitchyness .If Mick from Cork goes the Fat Fuckwit Brophy from FG who is Minister for the Diaspra will have to tag along .Now the rest of the Cabbages .Farmers and Solicitors in Cabinet will stamp their feet and scream and make them selves sick if they cant go around the world on their Paddywhackery Tour 2021 .Leo already said a few weeks ago Mick should not go ..The betting earlier in the week was 5/6 each of two .I wouldnt take 1/3 that he goes .

Much as I appreciated Dr. Leo's leadership at the beginning of the pandemic and his negotiation of Brexit, is he not speaking out of turn in venturing an opinion as to what An Taoiseach should or shouldn't do. As Tanaiste his role is to represent An Taoiseach as required, not to advise him. He should let the fucking gobshite make his own mistakes and remind us at election time.

Do taoishe not go to the USA to gladhand big Corporate and assure them of the relevent tax fiddle available by using the Dublin Gateway .Mick from Cork wont be able to do that or Go to Studio 55 and Boogin like Dr Leo or take in a Musical or visit Whores in Harlem .Hatdly worth his time going all that way to visit a Pensioner when Irish people cant visit their Pensioner Parents in their Geriatriczoos .The Optics would be all wrong 2/1 No in a two horse race ?

A bit of generosity is required here. Why begrudge the humble public servant his one shot at goal, the picture of himself, and Joe at An Teach Ban, Casablanca, Maison Blanc, Albayt alabyad, White House, to put on the fambly mantelpiece beside JFK, and The Sacred Heart. His one, and only, chance of definitive proof of his Taoiseachship, before the big heave in FF.

I think we've been extremely generous as far as An Taoiseach is concerned. The fact that he still has his life, never mind his job, despite his bitter, spiteful, politically motivated killing of hundreds of pensioners is testament to that.

The Man who hires casual Labour is Right again but then when has he ever been wrong ..

TAOISEACH Micheál Martin is now unlikely to travel to the US next month with officials instead examining a virtual St Patrick’s Day meeting with US President Joe Biden, Independent.ie has learned.

The move follows contact between the White House and Irish diplomats in Washington DC in the last 24 hours. Both sides are understood to have accepted that due to Covid-19 the annual bilateral meeting at the White House will more than likely take place virtually.

A source familiar with the discussions said that this was mutually viewed as increasingly the best option considering the pandemic, although no final decision has been made.
