An illegal lockdown rave for the Dublin and Kildare areas has been planned for St Patrick's Day with organisers claiming that COVID is a hoax.

The event, which is being promoted on Instagram, claims that the location will be revealed 12 hours before it's due to start on March 17.

And already the account has amassed over 700 followers and counting, with over 400 tickets to the event allegedly sold.

Its been creating buzz on social media, with a very split reaction to its creation. Those who message them to purchase a ticket are asked to send money via Paypal, after which they will then be added to a Whatsapp group.

Promoting the event, the account says: "Who's sick of lockdown? Wednesday 17 March Paddy's Day lockdown rave will take place in an undisclosed location in the Dublin/Kildare area. 12 hours before the event starts the location will be revealed. No under 17s if we think you look under 17 you will be refused entry. Doors open at 3pm and the event finishes early hours the next morning."

The bio of the account reads: "Paddy's Day lockdown rave in the Kildare/Dublin area 17 March 2021. Tickets are €20. Let's not have another miserable Paddy's Day, let's party hard."

Last night, a series of stories on the account slammed those who were against the rave and also called COVID a "hoax".

They said: "Everyone giving out about the rave go and f*** yourself COVID is the biggest hoax the world has ever seen. 10 million die from cancer every year only 2 million die of COVID. No matter what you guys say it's going ahead already sold 300 tickets even bad publicity is good publicity thanks to everyone who shared even the haters."

This was followed by screenshots by followers including one which said they will "rat" out any Instagram pages set up by the account.

The backup page says: "Back up page for the rave on 17 of March. Just incase the original page gets shut down. Anyone who bought tickets has our WhatsApp number."

While one follower sent them a message slamming them for organising the event.

They said: "This is the most selfish thing I've ever seen, people are dying and you think it's okay to have a rave. This virus isn't a hoax it's real and killing people. Go educate yourself this is absolutely disgusting."

To which they replied: "Just another one of the haters, can people please not be like [this]."

A post encouraging people to tag their friends to win tickets had comments underneath including "I can't wait to die and kill my grandparents too", "liked and shared I hope I win the change to get COVID and kill people" and "can't wait 'till ye get caught and fined thousands of euro".

The fine that can be issued by gardai for organising a house party or illegal event is €500, while every person caught in attendance or heading to attend the event can be fined €100.

So far, 116 €500 fines for organising a house party and 498 €150 fines for attending a house party have been issued.

Great to see some resilience of youth behind the narcotics fuelled appreciation of the noise that constitutes music these days. Are you sure it hasn't been moved to Killashandra?

A video of Garda Commissioner Drew Harris became viral on social media last night after a blunder on RTE News about Garda checkpoints.

Mr Harris was speaking about Covid stops currently being operated by hardworking officers around the country when he made the easy slip-up.

The Garda Commissioner told the public that officers were continuing to carry out the 4 Es when at checkpoints adding that they continued to "engage, encourage, enforce and enform".

The four Es of Operation Fanacht are 'engage, explain, encourage and enforce, and inform does not begin with 'E' - but let the person who has made no mistake ever cast the first stone.

Eagle-eyed viewers were on hand to point out the funny mishap as he spoke about Operation Fanacht as Gardai continue to clamp down on rule breakers.

One Twitter user caught the moment live taking a short recording of the error.
She said: "Garda Commissioner on RTE News telling us about the 4 Es which apparently are to: Engage, Encourage, Enforce and em...Enform. Enform." rofl

Harris caught with 4 E's.
