Lead to believe he was well known to Cops before this event --gather it was the half point of many "wait and return "jobs in Borough for last few years --nobody well regret seeing him in Joy for 4/5 years !
Well he's known to local cops anyway:

Man with cigarette objected to drug search

A SOLAR energy worker hurled abuse at a garda who asked to search him on suspicion of having drugs because he over-reacted to the request, a court heard.

Jake Merriman (22) had no drugs on him but a garda saw him put a "rolled-up cigarette" into his trouser pocket and asked to search him.

Judge Michael Walsh said he would leave him without convictions if he made a donation to charity.

Merriman, a father-of-one with an address at Meadowlands Avenue, Dun Laoghaire, pleaded guilty to causing a breach of the peace and obstructing a search.

Dublin District Court heard the incident happened at Wellington Quay on March 28 last. Garda Barry Moran said as he approached the defendant he saw him place a substance wrapped in white paper into his pocket.

Merriman attempted to walk away in the direction of the Hapenny Bridge. When he spoke to him, Merriman gave the garda a bus pass.

Garda Moran said he was searching him under the Misuse of Drugs Act, at which the defendant became unco-operative and abusive and had to be restrained and arrested.

Judge Walsh adjourned the case to July 31 for the accused to make a €300 donation to charity.
