Does the punishment not outway the crime ?
Destroying his livelihood and that of about  ?? staff---Jesus we have seen taxi -drivers guilty of worse and still retain their livelihoods !
I reckon and note the I --people who deal with animal's on the scale of Elliot or his like --death is a day to day occurrence--where it appalls those on outside it is but the norm to them --I reckon the reaction is over the top !
Betfair/Paddy Power had no quams when they took 100s 000s from the Postmaster --even offered him corperate entertainment --and there are many more where they are complicit--its just a PR opportunity for them !
Remember when the media had a go at Martin Pipe for blood washing --only difference now  --social media !
I hope he survives--maybe nominate somebody to take over the training while he is on media trial --little doubt the Bowler Hats will roll with them regrettably !!
Wonder who screwed him ?

owners will be permitted to transfer horses to a different trainer and run them at British meetings. Elliott has 104 entries in the early-closing races at this month's Cheltenham Festival, most notably the unbeaten superstar Envoi Allen.

Envoi Allen's owners Cheveley Park Stud also have stablemates Sir Gerhard, Ballyadam and Quilixios for the big meeting, while the Noel and Valerie Moran-owned Zanahiyr and Gigginstown House Stud-owned dual Grand National hero Tiger Roll are among other leading Elliott-trained hopes.

Chevely Park already have horses with De Bromhead so he might be fav if and when.

Thats an old photo so somebody waited .He probably sold someone a horse that turned out to be useless .There seems to be a reaction from the British Media .Unlike when Nicky Henderson drugged horses only got a 3 month summer racing ban and 40K fine .I would think there is definitely something sinister behind this .Whoever done his PR missed a trick .If he said the horse had collapsed and died and I wanted to stay with him until the vet came .He would of looked like a concerned trainer .

If racing is so upset for a dead horse .Where is the condemnation of Britain's most successful owner Sheik Mohammed who kidnapped his Daughter and allows Gangsters live in his Sheikdom .No chance of HRI making any comment after they touched him for 5 million twords the new Curragh Stand .There seems to be an underlying tension in Irish racing since Christmas .I wonder if some Big trainers were jelous Elliott seemed to be attracting some big owners willing to invest big bucks that would effect the Status Quo .Bit like flat racing if your not an O brien you will struggle .Elliott is not from a racing dynasty .Mabey he just got too big for other peoples boots .

Wonder where Davy Russell  is in all this ?
No support--yet Elliot supported him when he got into barney a few years ago --remember punching a horse in head and then when he lost the O Leary job--odd ?

From another forum about who released the photo.
--------------------

I've heard its to do with women. A stable lass and another trainers daughter.

You are spot on. Was going out with another trainers daughter and was caught jockeying 1 of his employees. His now ex girlfriend got the pic released. Saw a video also of the Síbín he has also fairly full the same evening.

Elliott looking for somebody to take over the licence until this is cleared up .Noel Meads name being mentioned in dispatches as any trainer must have an Irish trainers licence so cant be his head lad .

Jaysus...a woman scorned...i'd say there's loads of photos of ermy sitting on a high stool with the racing times hangin out of his back pocket that he wouldn't like to see hitting the Clondalkin Echo....or the neighbourhood facecunt page!!
