Son told me its downloadable once its given over 9 days---its a Train the Trainer Course level 6 which is an acceptable qualification and lets you train with State Bodies etc.--ie Intreo and the likes !
Plenty of Punters looking to retrain or ,more likely do a course to keep their Catch --so no pressure hopefully !

Another nice lady from the dole office called me today - after sending an email cleverly signed with initial.surmname - and sent a code to verify my phone number which should give access to more services when activated on their system, which may take a day or two. Not sure if that'll be enough to do what I want to do but there's a huge backlog of PSC applications to be tackled when COVID '19 restrictions allow so that's probably all they can do for now. I guess I shoulda got the PSC years ago when they first promoted them.

What sort of course is that, Punter? Is a Level 5 qualification a prerequisite?

I'm half thinking of training as a driving instructor, I wonder if they'd pay for that? There was an article in one of the weekend rags suggesting there's (going to be) a severe shortage of driving instructors given proposals to speed up the theory test. Instructors' reps complained that loads of men have left their trade to pursue better paid jobs, the same shite our reps spout! Anywaysanall, it could suit me as I don't need to earn huge wages and I might enjoy it...

Have no idea --it gives you a Level 5/6 qualification so you can train others in Customer Service -never worked for anyone in my 65 years so pretty experienced in getting by--there was no prerequisite to get on course just be on PUP/DOLE --just have to log in and do all the modules and do some project work ,then they rate you at the death---appears to be a few different results --success, or with attended with merit --or just attended but no fail but you can claim to be trained to Level 5/6.
Loughlinstown Training Centre --did a Driving Course course in the past as I know a guy who did it --
Airport Driving School do a Train the Trainer course but its a bit of a catch me --they guarantee the result if you spend 2/3 K--you should call them and suss it out and see will they point you in any direction --their course might have some Intreo accreditation so it would be in their interest in getting you approved --but I gather not nice people to deal with --check out ISM and Alexandra Schools sites they both do lots for Intreo  !

I had a look at the ISM one. 2 grand plus another 8 ton for exams/registration. I'll check the others out, thanks.
