For the Punters name two horses to play and to to lay give a reason for both

Billaway 5/2 in the Hunters Chase .He is better than a Hunter not a great jumper but your getting paid for that @5/2 will have a Pro Jockey this time .No point to point racing in UK so British Hunters at a huge disadvantage (NAP)

Easyland 11/10 Cross Country race .Its a specialist race he won it last year potters Corner looks the only danger .

Lay

Kilcruit in the Bumper dont think he beat much to justify '15/8 Quote .

Shiskin @1/1 in the Arkle .This race will be run like drunks running down hill one jumping mistake and your chance is gone .Having watched him dont think he will enjoy racing at pace .

Back: Honeysuckle, just doesn't know when it's beaten and is about 5/2 in the Champion Hurdle,a revived Goshen is my only fear.

Santini E/W in the Gold Cup:Some day they'll get this horse right and they've allowed Aidan Coleman ride it the last couple of times to get used to it.

----------------------------
Don't really lay bets but if I had to

Lay Elimay in the Mares Chase, only about a 6/4 shot in an open looking probably big field race, could be one of those mad 66/1 winner jobs.

Toss up between Billaway or Easyland for the other lay as I think they are too short and Easyland was poor last run.

Im on Billaway @ 7/1 put it up here when it was 9/2 as one to back for Cheltenham .Not the best jumper but has a turn of foot .

Champion Hurdle looks strong this year .Gold Cup looks more like a Saturday Handicap than a Championship race .Album Photo never gets the credit he deserves .The Mares Chase could contain anything like you said some two horse trainer with a 100/1 shot could get a result .

If Envoi Allen went really short like 1/2 I might lay him to lose .You never know if the move from Elliots just two weeks ahead of the race will upset him .I know he  has to train in special boots does he strike himself when Galloping he has had it all his own way around flat courses in Ireland .If they take him on in Cheltenham 1/2 would seem small odds .

Aidan Coleman has been minding himself for last few weeks --not going to have many rides--likewise Tom Scudamore-I will be happy enough to back either of these guys at a price to win any race, while at the same time not committing to much while giving you an interest !
I often throw a few quid at the placepot --leaving out the hotpots--yet to have success but still got great runs for small dough !

I always include the favs in my perm placepots, but hope that they are unplaced. There is no point in getting 5 outsiders placed and then a hot pot gets up to let you down.
The most important thing about placepots is just to keep it alive.
I'm contemplating going large this year on the placepot.
