How much did you make paddy's day 2020?
« on: March 17, 2021, 10:00:42 am »
I had 1 run for 10 euro. Depressing. I think it will be a bit better today, people are moving around a lot more now. it was raining last year as well, opposite of today.

Getting old is compulsory whilst growing up is voluntary.

I don't think we were asked to stay at home. we are essential workers.

My health is more essential and considering it took the NTA as long as it did to say anything....screens weren't any good apparently and some drivers failed their suitability because they had them fitted and not to mention mask wearing...."we'll make an announcement shortly".......months later actually.

Each to their own 90!!

I had a good day myself, only did 8 hours but covered 16 FN jobs and 4 street hails.
It was as good as a regular Thursday pre-covid, and my best day/night so far this year.

It'll  be interesting to see if there's a spike in deaths and infections,  and what part working cabbies  played.

I'd be surprised if there's not a spike in the beautiful seaside resort town of Balbriggan. Pubs were trading yesterday - to facilitate drowning of the shamrock according to a local Garda and the younger not so young lad tells me the beach was packed all day with little or no regard for the physical distance aspect of social distancing.

Did you get a fine for your recent transgression, SB?

If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

No. Apparently we stayed within our permitted social bubble of 3, but were given a salutary warning.

I would expect a spike of new cases in the next 10 days, but mainly from 17-27.5 year olds, and hopefully they won't get hospital sick, thereby not increasing the pressure on the HSE, and ICU beds. Meantime the country needs my tax euros to help payin' yer PUPs.
Trump has called for help, so I'm on a plane heading for The Strait of Hormuz, talk soon.
