Nowhere to drive in Dublin
« on: April 11, 2021, 11:27:03 am »
I see in one of the papers today that Dublin City Council are proposing to pedestrianise Mary St,Merrion Row and part of Capel St on a trial basis for the summer,to encourage restaurants to have outdoor seating.
Where the f**k are us mere mortal taxi drivers suppose to drive??
Taxi ranks being removed, more cycle lanes everywhere, pedestrianisation of streets.
Does anyone think about taxi drivers when the powers that be make these decisions????

Gas thing is they were fining business's that were putting out advertising boards and table and chairs without planning permission and now because of covid they're prepared to let that happen...and not because any of the half wits in the council came up with the idea, business's have been trying to do it for years.

It needed to be a supported efford . There were to many Egos you had to bring the crowd with you .If you said I will do it then it was a personal crusade and nobody would of been interested  if we decided to do it then you can look for candidates .But that boat has sailed  Greens ,Loonie Left ,Profit from the People, have destroyed the value of political participation .

They'll relax the rules when a few rapes/attacks happen because punters will have to walk huge distances to taxi-accessible areas. That's how they managed to bring in deregulation. Partly because a woman was murdered on the way home from a Christmas party. had to use public transport. The argument was, if she had been able to get a taxi she would have been dropped at her door.

I think this was the story that sparked the debate:

No they wont relax anything .There is about 5% of the voting population that make the difference .Labour went for the Gay vote Leo then latched on to it .They had the referendum Labour who proposed it thought they would get the benefit they managed to lose 23 seats .The new battle ground is Green Politics the Greens have that vote but next election will only get 3 seats .Irish politics is all about creating issues that can be exploited for votes while making no real change in peoples lives like decent housing ,Healthcare ,Education ,Pensions .Care for Children with Special needs .As long as Gillian and Conor feel their issues are being listened to and they can park their cycle as they take a coffee all is great with the world  until Gillian loses her job as a Yoga instructor and Connor gets replaced as a Coffee Jockey by a Brazillian Barrista that works for chump change .

That's utter bollocks to say Labour went for the "gay vote and then Leo latched onto it".
Utter bollocks, I have relatives who were involved in the Marriage Equality Referendum from the get go and years previous to that and it was the LGBTQ people themselves  who dragged the politicians along.
But Leo most definitely did not latched onto it.
Labour did however about 10 yrs ago introduce a Civil Unions Bill to the Dáil,but it was voted down.
Again, the MarRef was LGBTQ driven and pushed.

The Greens don't have the discipline of the Shinners.  I read an article recently and something like the top 5 in the Greens (& the Lady Mayor) are all fighting each other.  Some have broken off into an even more radical Green party.  They'll disintegrate and disappear off the horizon for a decade.  Saving the planet and all that shite will have to be done by real politicians, not vegetarian sheep-huggers.

The Shinners could be the big winners the next time.  A lot of people spent the last year stuck at home on €300-ish and are now thinking to themselves, why should I spend an hour on the bus going to work just to survive.  A couple of quid and a few cans from the offie and they're grand.  Let the Shinners in and tax all those rich people and give me the money!

Give me an example of a successful, vibrant socialist republic where everyone has enough then I'll consider an SF/IRA vote. 8)

Everything needs to be a supported effort, but when the someone doesn't even put himself forward how can it be "supported"??
It all very well spouting off on a web forum, but if thats all the somebody does, then sure look we can all do that.
It's also worth noting that the somebody has posted things on forums that would be onside with the NTA
An NTA dream ticket.

Is was  Eamon Gilmore put his support behind the equality vote in the programme for government .Leo who claims to be Gay suddenly discovered it in his 30s Fuck right off its Cunts like him that oppressed the Gay community hiding because it might of affected his career .The Fucking Traitor was afraid of been outed  He latched on to the issue .Nobody really gives a fuck what consenting adults do in their lives . My issue with Leo is when he was looking for support as a Councillor or TD or leader of FG he never once said he was Gay and Proud .It was only when there was votes in it he decided to come out .Leaders Lead Cowards Follow .Leo Veradker is the most self serving cunt that ever looked for a vote a self serving Traitor .When the History of the 21st century is written Leo will not come out well a Lowlife self serving scumbag .If the treat from the north ever succeeds in blowing his fucking head off I wont shed a tear in fact Ill throw a fucking party .
