Gardaí in Dublin have begun a murder investigation following the discovery of a man's body in Dublin today.

The man, who was in his 70s, was found fatally injured at Robinson’s Court, off Cork Street in the south inner city.

Gardaí believe he was the victim of a violent assault and was attacked at his home.

He sustained serious injuries to his head and body and may have been struck a number of times with an implement.

The victim lived in Robinson’s Court for a number of years but it is believed he was not originally from Ireland.

The scene has been preserved as specialists from the Garda Technical Bureau and Forensic Science Ireland carry out a forensic examination.

Gardaí at Kevin Street are conducting house to house inquiries in the area and are appealing to witnesses or anyone who was in or around Robinson’s Court and who may have seen anything to contact them.

Neighbours have spoken of their shock at the incident, and described the man as quiet.

IS THIS THE SAME PLACE ANOTHER OLD LAD WAS MURDERED IN A FEW YEARS AGO >

Imagine if those two murders happened in the same flat, albeit years apart.  I'd hate to be the next guy to get the flat.  You'd be doubling and tripling your life insurance  O:-)
Getting old is compulsory whilst growing up is voluntary.

It is a bit strange that the guy Harte got a nolle prosequi, on the same day another senior citizen is murdered in exactly the same building. Allegedly, the expression 'child molester' was being used in the article about the previous murder.

The guy also got off with another murder charge almost a decade ago.

Immigrant?
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.
