Was the Man who hires casual labour right

Micheál Martin has admitted the next phase of reopening could be delayed until later in July amid rising concerns about the Delta variant of Covid-19.

The Taoiseach said the Government would follow public health advice if it is to delay the planned July 5 reopening of indoor hospitality, as well as plans to increase numbers allowed in households, and at weddings, and larger indoor and outdoor gatherings.

He  told you pubs were being ADVISED not to invest in indoor ventilation .He told you Pubs wouldnt reopen last year .He told you This years Paddys Day wouldnt happen .He was posting about the China Sneeze before any Irish Newspaper .He told you the Dublin City Marathon cannot get a Public Health Cert for October .Learn to read between the lines .Government dont have a fucking notion whats occuring .

Big Eamo from the Cabbages is all about Global warming and rising tides .So answer me this .Is St Vincents the right place to build a new billion Euro Maternity Hospital .I have seen the Merrion Junction Flooded at high tide when there is a strong easterly wind .The new Hospital isint 100 yards away from the beach .This Banana is slowly turning into a Lemon .Why are government going to bring in a law to allow drinking on the footpath continue if the Pubs with roofs are supposed to be reopening .?

ARE THEY ALL BIPOLAR ...Government Ministers have confirmed the July reopening is on track despite concerns about the Delta variant in Ireland.

Indoor dining at pubs and restaurants is the big change set to come in early July with an official decision to be made on Thursday week.

And speaking to the Irish Mirror ahead of today's Cabinet meeting, Ireland's decision makers confirmed that as it stands, the reopening plan will be going full steam ahead.

SO DID THE TAOISEACH SAY WHAT HE SAID OR DID HE SAY SOMETHING ELSE WHEN HE WAS SAYING WHAT HE WAS SAYING ! how the fuck can you run a business with contradictions like this .

Problem is things are changing by the day.  A week ago, everything seemed ok but then some kids had a party in Athlone and bingo, the delta variant is spreading in Athlone.  Today, they're opening new test centres in Dungarvan, Co Waterford, and Dundalk because cases are spreading there as well!

In the UK, the numbers of people on ventilators from the delta variant are shooting up and they're shitting themselves over in the UK.

This delta variant is scary stuff.

And today, India announced they'd discovered a "delta plus" variant but they're not sure how dangerous it is yet.

I think it's time to stock up on toilet rolls again  ::)

Not really Watty .Air conditioning engineers contacted the Government to ask for guidance with reference to standard for air conditioning for indoor dining and were informed there was No standard approved .In a Pandemic there is no standard WHY ? The Dublin City Marathon needs a Public Health Certificate and they cant get one so an event set to take place in OCTOBER long after the THREATENED reopening WHY?.The Man who hires Casual labour just checked the Vote for spending by Dublin Corporation and discovered no funding was put aside for Patrics Parade 2021 in last years budget WHY ? What do you think is going on in St Vincents could it possibly be ..Maternity Hospital . Has anybody asked the question .If Global warming is true and sea levels rise is St Vincents the right location for the new Hospital .On a high tide and a east wind the sea breaches the rail line at Merrion Gate .So is it the right site .Would it not be better to demolish the Basin Lane Flats and build the Maternity hospital along side Jamses and the National Childrens Hospital .Watty this forum is better informed on what is going on than the government .

OCCI your an Intelligent man so answer me this .There is a Gig next week for front line workers in the RHK .Now in what fucking World does it make sense to get 3500 Doctors,Nurses ,Hospital Cleaners togeather in a field to be GuineaPigs .We are told that the Double Needle protects you from SERIOUS INFECTION not immunity from the Curry Cough .So the bright idea is to get all the people who look after sick people to PARRRRRRRRRTY and see if it creates a spreader event among Needled People .So much for respecting Front Line Workers you turn them into Guinea Pigs just to test if its Ok to let Alan Hughes hold his Panto this year or if Dara O Brein can do gigs in Vicar Street with an Audience of Double Jabbers .

They're not morons though John. Most drivers will stay in a holding pattern on the PUP until we're open for good. I expect to be still on it until next year. With respect... I don't think anyone is looking in here for their news or for ideas on how to run their business.

Bit harsh, MfH.

You say you expect to be on the PUP until next year.  It's dropping €50 every couple of months and you could be on €203/week pretty quickly.  You might be better off claiming the 'proper' dole and all the benefits that come with that like GP card etc.  There's people on here who know all about the SW 'process' and what to say & what not to say.  If JohnM does apply for Unemployment Assistance, he'll probably give us a heads up on the lie of the land and how SW will treat the taxi sector.

Also, re the PUP.  The numbers have gone from 600k down to about 200k.  That might be a small enough group that SW might start targeting the 200k and putting them under pressure to go back to work.  And between this site and the so-called unions, we should be able to get our stories straight about how deserving we are of the PUP!

Finally, RC seems to know a lot about the tax system and a few others know cars inside and out.  So if you ignore the talk about cyptocurrencies etc, there is plenty of info on here that's worth 10mins of your time.

So yer saying they are morons...shame on you Watty! There is good info on here. But you need to sift through a lot of complaining about the government to find the juicy stuff.

The bottom level of the PUP is 200 and no lower AFAIK.I'm happy to sign off when the government take there foot off the neck of the economy.Until then I can wait.

Unlikely, going on past performance. What did he say?
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

They'd have to jump-start Ermy's every morning.

The favourite car at the moment in Ballyfermot is the KIA PICK ANTO. 8)
