When it comes to Bravery in the face of the enemy you got to admire Boris .Without any fear for himself after fighting off the deadly virus single handedly with just a bed and a duvet he has decided that the Game is up .He will fight it on the Busses he will fight it in the Pubs on the Terraces he will fight it in the Strip clubs of Soho and the Night Clubs of Manchester .He must of read this Forum there are enough people needled in Britain for him not to give a fuck anymore so from the 19th of July ALL covid restrictions are gone .Thought Mick from Cork was thinking that way as well get the Euro Drug dealers to sell us their stash needle the fuck out of everybody that wants the needle then Give it the big slogan BE CAREFULL OUT THERE .anl let us loose in time for the return of the schools in September .If the Brits drop all their restrictions and the bodies are not piling up I recon they will bring forward the sell by date on the Covid coin to November if you are not back in work by then they will transfer you onto the Dole proper 203 a week and not allowed to work .

He is a motormouth but the Irish guy at the WHO and the New Zealand have said the same thing.

The Tories don't care about regular people.

He advocated for the 'herd immunity' strategy at the beginning but denied it when it leaked.  That's the problem with a scientist who only looks at numbers but can't connect with the flesh and blood humans behind those numbers.  The Brits took a big gamble by giving the 1st jab but leaving a 12 week gap until the 2nd one.  That might be coming back to bite them now.

Vlad, the WHO guy (Mike Ryan?) & Jacinta Ardern (New Zealand PM) are seeing the 'real' numbers and the 'real' science and I'd tend to believe them before I'd believe Mr Johnson.  Our NPHET people are saying 1,000 cases a day by Sept.  That's the 'good' news for public comsumption.  What's the bad news that they're keeping from us?

I did hear that 1000 figure being mentioned for Aug/Sept.....but it's hospital/ICU cases that really matter, pharmacies seem to be inundated with the 18-34 age group wanting the jab which might help things along.

Yeah, it's hard to measure risk.  In the UK, 7% of current Covid cases have been double-jabbed.  Worldwide, the Pfizer vaccine gives something like 60% protection against serious illness and 90% protection against hospitalisation.

What are the practical implications for those of us who work in a small enclosed metal box?
