Its always the one who have money want to haggle.

Had a couple to come my car at Dublin Airport (when I was working!) asked how much was it to Dalkey,I gave a rough price and said "it was on the meter". He wanted to haggle ,"will you do it for such n such"
No says I, its on the meter.

Lots of tutting and sighing. Anyway they got in brought them to their destination, which was one big fuck off size of a house , with a Porsche and a Merc in the driveway.

Said it all..........
Remember the economic crash? The pax were told to negotiate as it was a free market, and some did. If you were sitting on a rank they would go car to car to get the cheapest price to Balbriggan or Bray.

You'd accept if it suited you, or invariably told the drunken prick/s to pay the meter fare or walk.

The same pax never had a problem paying  a tenner into a nightclub, 7 quid for a pint (numerous) but haggle the price of a fare.
Fuck right off.

Why is it the ones from less well off areas like Crumlin, the inner city, clondalkin are great tippers and the ones from the affluent areas in Dublin are dirt mean and wouldn't give you a 20 cent tip?

The middle class from the country are usually mean enough as well. The real Dubs are by far my favorite passengers, they will always chat away to you as well.

Less well off Crumlin
Gaff in the grove aka hatchet Grove 380
Crumlin is the new hip place

My mate from the Ivy House used to get cases of Vodka from prospective suppliers. All the names you've never heard of.
All of it went into shots.

When the marketing lads came around to actually make a sale, he'd say they didn't go for it but I'll keep you in mind.

Then on to the next gullible supplier.

And publicans want our support?

You'd tip a lounge boy/girl, but never a barman. Students, or kids working in say - The Goblet pub, are paid around a fiver an hour. The owner knowing they earn tips. And they keep their mouth shut, allegedly.
