No permanent berthing availabe, just a few in Grand Canal, all taken, with a long waiting list. Anywhere else you have to move after 30 days I think. A money spinner for permanent berths, if Waterways Ireland invested.

Sure didn't yer man who works for some council have his boat gaff lifted from the canal(can't remember the location)a few weeks back...he built it as a lockdown project but didn't have the necessary permit(s) to berth it where it was,WI removed it and he was hit with a bill for that, there was a GoFukyerself set up that raised the funds to pay for that.....haven't heard anything since.

Know a guy who lifted a large mobile home over the garden wall of his brother's corpo house in Dalkey (yes there are lots of corpo houses in Dalkey), and the corpo sent a legal letter for him to remove it...."forthwith"... which he did.

Think it comes down to how big it is under planning. Know another guy in Dalkey who has a log cabin in his garden and is doing air bnb in it.n

Had a quick look on the abnb site but don't see it at the mo. I will make some verbal enquiries and let you know when I can. I heard about it by word of mouth.
