What is the solution to this? like I can give them masks but I just find it so frustrating at the fact drunks don't wear masks in taxis.

women saying they don't want to mess their make up with the masks, im fully vaccinated etc, its such a chore dealing with these people.

why are people so Blasé about this after a year and  half of a pandemic? I keep seeing mini busses of groups of lads and none of them wearing masks.

I'm nearly fully vaccinated. The more I do this job the more I get the feeling most people are stupid. The same people who wont wear the masks will be the ones complaining when we are locked down again.

Tell them that face masks are mandatory in Taxies by NTA law since last December and there is an 80 Euro fine if caught not wearing one. That usually cops them on.

How do you handle the loopers who pretend they are exempt? The anti everything people? or even the people who are really exempt? their health is more important than mine I suppose. I should just catch covid and die because they find it hard to breath in a mask.

I do enforce it. I just find it very annoying dealing with drunks who act like covid doesn't exist. I have asked a number of exempt people to wear them.

What I'd do is tell them, listen mate put a mask on or get the fcuk out. If they try argue it's off with the engine, me out the car, back door yanked open and him being told we can do this the easy way or my way. I've done it more times with pricks trying to eat in my car when I specifically told them to put it in their pocket. Not wearing a mask would be no different.

1990 .I dont wear a mask or have a screen and dont expect passengers to either .Its ridicilous to think Billy the Bastard has been sitting in the Porter shop all day surrounded by baying humans exhaling all sorts and his clothing is absorbing it then he sits into your car transfering any germs onto the fabric of the seats in your insulated capsule and him wearing a mask is going to keep you any safer .If you fear going out dont go out other than that carry on as normal .More People will die from Drug abuse or Cigarette smoking than covid .We have seen 7 people drown in the last two weeks and no government campaign to wear a life vest .

1990 ......I just say nuttin an as merc says hope for the best but if you feel strongly enough about it .....have you tried locking the doors ? And requesting they put on ther masks before entry ? ....I think that's the only solution....easier said than done I know ....but it is the law an it's your health you are protecting.....
If they start protesting  and immediately dont try to fit a mask you can just drive off ......yu don't need that type in yur car anyway ....there's another fare up the road

Horse if we follow your logic then why are we not asked to see the barcode or card before we take a passenger are our lives less important than some teenage pint server ..Why are Free Now not asking for your Green Code before they will let you book .I dont let passengers smoke because I dont smoke dont like the smaell but if I pick up sometimes I let passengers drink or eat .Its my car my business and up to me how I choose to run it .
