My bad bub
Can't put my finger on why, but anytime I drive through Chapelizod village I always think that I wouldn't mind living there. It has an undefineable charm.

'but wat harm is he doin ?'No harm but the fact that people need to scroll through so much shite to get any information means nobody else bothers joining up and posting.Hopefully John gets his own corner like Ken had. You'd post something about a battery charger or Freenow or something actually taxi-related and he'd start giving out about the green party and the government in the next post hoping you'd give a bollix. And if you disagreed with him you're a fukking idiot. He wouldn't last 5 minutes down the local without getting a stool across the head.
Which is the scumy side of Dooblin ? Northside or Southside ?
I used to row for Commercial Rowing Club back in the 70s..Usually in Eights...Had to lock up the club bar every week...End of story.

Quote from: Horse on August 13, 2021, 10:24:30 amCalm down, fooking hell. Admittedly there are one or two bogey areas around the scenic Southside but for the most part it's just pure bliss. If you ever left that northside gick hole you'd see that. Again, calm the fook down, I'm only stating facts. Like the fact Mickey D wants fook all to do with yis.......wud ya get up the yard out of that.....Bit bleedin ironic they call it " jobstown" an nobody workin ....Bleedin dump

Quote from: Horse on August 13, 2021, 09:10:01 am Interesting fact, Aras an Uachtarain, in the phoenix Park on Dublin's northside, has a Dublin 8 address. It's the only part of Dublin that sits on the northside of the liffey to have an even postcode. Every other part of North Dublin has an uneven number as a postcode. This concludes that not even the president of Ireland wants a northside address because yes, that's how shitty the northside is!One of the two exceptions to this rule are the Phoenix Park and Áras an Uachtaráin, which are in Dublin 8. There’s a practical explanation for this anomaly. After the post office and sorting office in James’s Street were built in 1892, it began delivering the mail for the vice- regal lodge in the Phoenix park, since it was much more convenient than the old Phibsboro sorting office. So the park and the Áras got roped into Dublin 8, just as Chapelizod village, north of the Liffey, is in Dublin 20.
