SPSV Information Line – Call Volumes

In line with the easing of Government restrictions and the widespread rollout of the vaccination programme, many SPSV operators are in the process of renewing their SPSV licences. As a result the SPSV Information Line is currently receiving high volumes of calls, leading to extended wait times. Recent weeks have seen an influx of calls in the mornings when the SPSV Information Line opens. To avoid delays NTA recommends that industry members call in the afternoon where possible when wait times are considerably shorter. Call levels are always highest on Mondays.

I'll bet lots don't realise they have two years to reactivate the plate.The NTA weren't really making a big deal about it when it was announced.Many drivers can't be arsed looking up their website.Easier to phone the helpline.

September 14 is the first pup cut then November for the next one.Let's see the gold medals then.I like to think it will stay busy but we will see.I've left my app on in the gaff some days to see if there much happening and it only bings once an hour.Nothing really special about that.I know the nights are busier.

Yep,on and off for the last few weeks,in my opinion the day work is nowhere near the pre covid work level,the night work according to posters on here is a lot better than that,other people might see it different.

Not looking forward to when the currently dormant cabs getting back on the road.

Are the lads back working still getting the PUP, or have they signed off and taken Leo's Grand?

I'm still on PUP. I reckon anyone working more than 16 hours a week would have to sign off and take the bag of sand.

You can only claim for stuff you bought once so it takes the gloss off the grand a bit as you will have to leave it out of your yearly expenses against your tax liability.

IT is only 20% (for me), I think the grant is 75%?
