Covid certs in pubs ?
« on: August 31, 2021, 07:27:10 pm »
I thought that you needed a Covid cert and photo ID to get into a pub these days ?

I was out fer a few scoops yesterday, Two Cork South suburban pubs and Three city center pubs. I had my Covid cert on my phone and my Drivers license in me phoca, but I was never asked fer either at any of the 5 venue's.

One pub did ask us to sign in with a mobile number, but that was all !

They did away with the ID part awhile back.  Now it's just your vaccine cert on your phone.

No pub is gonna refuse money after being locked down for 18 months!

No, nothing at all was asked of me yesterday.
The last pub even served us more alcohol at 11.15pm.

This is Ireland. Nothing is done right here. One of the only reasons I dislike this country.

I agree nothing gets done right in this country but unfortunately you have to factor in the citizens aswell,my daughter who's 17 works in a local restaurant/bar and i think it's a bit unfair..even unreasonable to expect her to have to ask for covid certs....as i said previously, the majority of customers would be ok but there's always one....or two who think abusing young workers is their right.

I suppose it is just part of having a job and growing up, you will meet nice people and a$$holes. I have come across a couple of anti mask/vax nut jobs in the taxi, I had to deal with them best I could. If an a$$hole customer wanted a meal at half price, should they get it for half price or should they be told to fcuk off out of the place if they have a problem.

Indoors in 3 of the pubs and outdoors in the other Two.
I forgot my facemask a few times going in fer a wee but was never challenged.
