I couldn't survive on the €250 PUP so I went back a few months ago.  I was getting really bored as well.

I have a safety screen, wear a mask, and wash my hands regularly.  Wish my passengers would wear a mask though.  So far so good.  Taxi & bus drivers seem to have escaped the worst of it so fingers crossed.  Have the vaccine & flu jab so hopefully as protected as I can be.  Hopefully they'll expand the booster program to under-60's soon.
Getting old is compulsory whilst growing up is voluntary.

This is probably stating the obvious but covid is here to stay. The case numbers only count the people bothering to get tested. Most people want their normal lives back.If you're genuinely scared of Covid It might be time to sell the taxi while it's still worth something.I was happy to be off while I was getting paid but I have shit to buy now so I'm back working a little. It's easy for the experts on the tellly to tell people to stay at home with symptoms when they're getting paid for being off at full wages.

They've still given no end date to the pandemic and most are vaccinated now. What the hell do they want.Masks forever?I think I'd rather be in the graveyard.

Statistically you're probably more likely to get a knife put to your neck than die from Covid in the taxi.Think about that for a bit..I'm no statistician.

It will be of no consolation but upwards of 41% of passengers still insist on not wearing masks. Al you can do is mitigate the dangers.

Wear a mask, fit a screen, sanitize if handling cash. wipe down the back seats with an anto-bacterial agent. 8)

We're all going to get this disease,  it's only a matter of when. If you are vaccinated I don't really see the point of sitting at home trying not to get the disease only to go back working in 3, 6 or 9 months from now and then catch the disease.  What's the difference?

Once you go back you'll forget about the disease after a week and then you'll be complaining about the traffic and restrictions. They've made a complete bollox of the city centre during the lockdown. There's traffic all day in places that only used to be busy at rush hour.Covid is gonna be the least of your worries Justin.
