You'll be grand, BS. One of the inspectors told me it's 20 mins when I was close to that limit at my LRA before last. Needless to say, I forgot to knock the two minutes/week off with my memory being the way it is these days. The limit for meter sealing is significantly lower at +/- 6 mins as per NSAI manual.
I remembered before my most recent LRA so decided to go to Mechanic24 or whatever that Kessie shyster trades as these days. They said they could fix it without breaking the seal and charged me €20 for doing so... with no receipt available because "ah you know yourself bud".
It then failed the LRA because Kessie's mob broke the seal. Interestingly though, the gentleman said he'd pass it and fit the stickers as soon as I booked the meter in for sealing which I did straight away, dodging the retest fee. Obviously, I could have cancelled the sealing appointment and got my money back but, on reflection, I concluded that making the booking amounted to giving the inspector my word that I'd get it sealed. My word is my bond.
