Fare review - not necessarily an increase. No doubt fuel cost savings through the expansion of the Hybrid and EV fleet will have a significant negative impact on the taxi cost index.

It's getting very serious now... very, very serious. In fact very, very, very serious might not be overstating just how serious it's getting.

On my way to work last night c.19:43 Certa, Santry was 198.8c/litre and the Top yard across the road was 199.9c/litre. Applegreen, Santry was actually cheaper at 187.8c/litre. As I neared the end of my shift I headed towards Applegreen to fill up a couple of times but kept getting work. Anywaysanall, I decided to draw a line under the, now lengthy, shift in Sutton, switching all apps and the roofsign off at c23:37. As luck would have it, I found diesel for 184.8c/litre in Applegreen, Baldoyle so squeezed in as much as the tank would take. It still worked out at 12c/kilo... some 20% dearer than a week or two ago... and only going to get worse.

It is getting very serious, prices down here just hoovering below the 2 Euro mark and seemingly things are expected to get a lot more serious !

@rat catcher, its well protected, the 1.715 per litre for 1300 litres is looking dirt cheap now. I'm hearing that it could go to near 3€ per litre after the yanks and Brits announcement today cutting out all Russian oil by years end. Those fucken yanks just had to agree to make Ukraine neutral in 2014 no nato and eu, but no they kept poking the bear until he attacked, we're fucked because Russia, china, India, Pakistan, most of south east Asia, Iran countries in south America and Africa will stick together with trade and cut the west out of the picture, there's around a billion of us and over 4 billion of them. The power shift is on because of the meddling west.

I think Leo has said that the government will consider stepping in on the excise on Fuel.

As yis know with the tax being a percentage of the base price of the fuel the pump price gets moved more than the underlying crude in a compounding effect.....I think.

Prices usually lag behind the crude price so we might have to go a little higher before panic sets in.

Don't forget a lot of the increases are just lads with loads of money speculating.

Brits phasing out Russian oil by the end of the year.. Germans phasing out reliance on Russian gas over 3-5 years.

Ifn Putin had a bit of bollox about himself he'd switch off their supplies today... or by next Monday at the latest.

Seems to be K Circle doin the gouging,the Govt reduce the excise which will amount to a reduction in Unleaded by 20c and Diesel by 15c....but they've upped their prices in advance to negate any reduction for motorists,Green Apple(the ones I've seen) haven't increased their prices but not to say they won't join the Gouging Crew.
