I voted No because I won't be working. If I was working my shift would commence between 18:03 and 20:01 so, for the sake of a couple of hours, I wouldn't bother. If I was a day man doing 4+ hours I'd be inclined to display the relevant notice and see how many clients add it without asking for it save in the case of obnoxious cunts, for whom I would add it.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

Scuse the ignorance but if the fare at the end of the journey comes to say 20 Euro we are to ask the passengers for an 4 Euro??
Can you imagine the hassle you WILL get from passengers thinking you are ripping them off??
and are we suppose to work it out ourselves on a calculator?

This is shambolic

If it was a permanent thing, like every Sunday, then you'd have to. But because its only a few hours, none as far as I'm concerned,  who gives a shit. Our meters are going to be recallibrared soon anyway so for a once off, down a fiver or tenner, if your working,  who cares. My two cents, or 5 cents coz it's the new rules.

Just smile and think of all the puppy dole we got and most of us are still getting. The essential workers for whom the bank holiday was largely introduced got very little by comparison. Let them have their 20%... unless they want to give it to you or irritate you.

If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

Totally agreed Justin, the fare be up another 20% by the time your finished explaining it to them !
In today's 'Scam world' customers won't believe it anyway, but most likely pay it and then 'Bad mouth' you behind your back fer seemingly ripping them off !

I believe its a one off bank holiday in ( memory) of Ukraine....
Nta calculated that ther wud be uproar by a certain type of taxi
Driver ( ape)  who wud insist on gettin paid extra an wud march on the dail and embarrassin themselves and the country an so they've calculated that if they get the apes to tell the customers ( clients) that ther takin  ther extra 20% ....then the row will be contained within a taxi an between the ape an the client an the national embarrassment won't happen an it'll be contained within the the greedy cnuts taxi an it'll blow over

You can actually tell yur customers now that you will be giving all tips as a donation to Ukraine red Cross tru yur sump up app that link that ratti put up .....yu can give all yur freenow an bolt tips to Ukraine ....even put a sign up .....
Hopefully it won't be abused by said certain ape  scrooge types

The Bank Hol is a 'thank you' to COVID essential workers like ourselves and medical staff.  Maybe we should take the day off since it is for us?  :P

Will it even be busy? I'm thinking of doing a 'when in Rome' and getting the beers in on Thurs night so no driving on Friday  :2cheers

REMEMBER THIS EVERYBODY USING YOUR CAR ON THE DAY IS GETTING PAID FOR THEIR DAY OFF OR GETTING DOUBLE TIME OR MORE FOR WORKING .ON A 20 EURO FARE YOU ARE ONLY LOOKING FOR 4 EURO .TAKE A LOT OF 20 EURO FARES FOR YOU TO MAKE A DAYS WAGES OUT OF THE EXTRAS .
