Phyc you were out of the 9to5 for years .Its not all its made out to be .You can lapse the licence for more than 1 year because of Covid .Just inform the Reg you are taking a break same with your insurance .You never know what the future holds .If Putin acts the cunt Diesel could shoot up and only high value goods will find a place on a truck .Could be a lot of truckers claiming 208 a week on the Dole .I know a lad had 3 tractor units parked off went into Voluntary Liquidation as he cannot deliver the contract he signed for the money he quoted .Take Care and dont rush into anything for a few months even if you keep the taxi insurance just inform the App you are off the road .

Would you not be tempted to rent your vehicle out for a year while you adapt to your new normal life to see how it goes , I’d be wary of letting your plate lapse just in case your new gig didn’t work out.

CORRECT but you can take a time out at no extra charge .if too many leave Robbie they might reopen it up to EV Saloons .A suspended licence is still an active licence just having a rest .
