The 2 of you call yourselves taxi drivers , he is down in limerick and doesn’t want to travel to Dublin and you both give him places in and around Dublin doh

I resent that remark  :P

On several occasions on heare ...I've declared meself  a "driver of a taxi".....not "a taxi driver" ... .....there's a hole world of a  difference....
" Real taxi drivers"  wear tracksuits or corduroy trousers  , hang around ranks In groups of 3 or 4  talkin about football , ferry  narcotics , have criminal records as long as yur arm,  own a bulldog , live in a council house , left school at 14 an are about as smart as a brick

In all fairness I did mean it rather flippantly.
Ide a dog ...died very young ...he was only 15 :'(

I'm a taximan. If the guy rings the companies they might do call-outs. Once they have the measurements it's only a matter of fitting. Usually €350 a pop, or a plop, depending on passenger type. 8)

Thanks folks for all the replies. I'll probably go with John m's idea for a few weeks . It's gotta be better than cheap 20 quid cloth seat covers that rip apart after a couple of days.
If I think the seats are getting wrecked I'll ring around and see if anyone can supply heavy duty leather-look covers.

Plenty of car shops supply them but they are about 350 a go fer a full set, fer my 171 Avensis with similar cloth seats I bought just the lower back seat heavy duty custom made cover online fer 150 last year and fitted it myself, it was a bitch of a job to fit and replace.
If I was ever buying a new car with cloth seats then I would spend the 350 and get it fitted professionally.

P.S. they are called leatherette seat covers if'n your googling them..

Lads, I'm putting my new MG5 on the Road next week. I got the Excite Version which comes with cloth seats (TBH I wasn't going to spend another 3 grand just for leather seats and a few extra toys...., and this one was the only one available anywhere in the country a few weeks ago).
Anyway, does anybody know who would do leatherette Seat Covers ( as seen on nearly every Corolla and Avensis 20 years ago). I'd prefer to just buy them and fit them myself as I'm down in Limerick and don't fancy spending a day travelling up and down to Dublin , and trying to recharge the Car somewhere as well.
I'm not looking for the €50 covers that Argos sell, I'm after the decent quality ones that will take a bit of abuse.
Has anybody else bought something similar and fitted them themselves ?
Give Don in seatcovers.ie a call, he`ll let you know if covers for your MG are available and more than likely will send you a set to fit yourself.

Anyone got personal experience of these, ie quality, appearance when  fitted, and difficulty of self fitting?

Thanks for that, they look good. Did you fit yourself, easy or not? Don will fit them for €100 as advised by email.
