SBK free bets.
« on: April 04, 2022, 10:44:59 am »
I had a peep at the SBK free bets offer on oddschecker fer deposit £10 get £30 in free bets,
https://getsbk.marketing/p/6MLL-1WC/oddschecker-bonus?af_sub1=a_2499b_450c_&pid=incomeaccess_int

It seems to tick all the right boxes but it is fer phones only to download the app ??
I read all their T&C's and it does apply to Irish customers who use the words   ODDSCHECKER   as a promo code when signing up and it can be done it both Euro or GBP.

I don't use my phone fer anything except Taxi apps or basic phone use so if anyone tries this then let us know how you get on ?

Never heard of SBK. I might try it for Aintree on Thursday, I'll let yo know if I do.

The best new customer offer I came across this year was Bet365. Lodge and bet €10 and get €50 free bet credit to use as you wish i.e. not broken down into individual bet vouchers. Many O'Connells signed up during Cheltenham and all bar one made 3 figure withdrawals thereafter! I would also add that Bet365 is without doubt the best bookmaker in the world. It's the only one out of all the big names that didn't restrict or close my account back when I was winning a few (and only a few, nothing major) notes by virtually shopping around when I discovered Oddschecker (now owned by Flutter aka Paddypower/Betfair/Sky Bet) c.2015-2017. Only downside with Bet365 is they don't take Revolut cards.

I opened an account in preparation for Aintree, Ken. Not a whole lot to report other than:

Revolut cards don't work with it

The £30 free bets are immediately available i.e. there was no need for a settled wager to the value of the deposit to qualify. In fact, it seems that I could withdraw the deposit and just play with the free money... although, I wont do that... fair's fair!

It allowed me select Great British Pounds as my currency despite being in Europe. I don't think Bet365 et al allow that. Anywaysanall stg£30 equates to c.€36 - every little helps!

While I have you, Ken... It just occured to me that I forgot to recount my tale of woe from the last day of Cheltenham. One horse let me down for the Pacepot and (wait for it..) the fucking Jackpot as well. 5 winners I had out of the 6. Fortunately it wasn't the last race that went tits up, that'd be a real tale of woe. Anywaysanall the yoke that let me down so badly was Ginto in the 14:50 who "broke down" - like it was an electric car or something. This the Racing Post comment from the result of the race in question:

Prominent, going easily when pulled up quickly before last, fatally injured (tchd 9/4)

The div was only c.€10k... would have been significantly less if Ginto had won (I didn't do the math but from my somewhat dwindling memory I think there was about 10 times the units on the 14:50 winner on Ginto. It wouldn't have bought me an EV but it mighta covered a few years diesel!

Div was £8,796.00 + TotePlus 10%
Winner of the 14:50 had 200.5 units, Ginto had 2049.94 units

... and given me the satisfaction of having done it. I reckon 6 out of 6 winners at a single meeting is a once in a lifetime win for the average punter... if even that!

Agreed it would have been the 9 darter or the 147 or the perfect 300 or the Royal flush !

A regular punter and old mate of mine who died a few years ago got the 6 winners on a placepot once in his lifetime. We always said to each other with every placepot do the accumulator... in those days Irish bookies didnt take UK Jackpot bets as such. When he rang me to tell me he says "and it happened one of the very few times I didnt do the accumulator"... simultaneously, we said "It'll never happen again"!
