I was gonna post about this but the way the council have changed the flow of traffic into and out of the middle of the city centre means drivers are likely gonna do larger loops than before and may never get back into the middle of town as easy as they could ten or fifteen years ago.The way things are you can walk it faster than you can drive it so passengers hanging around in some busy spots may never see an empty taxi until the seagulls come out.

There are plenty of available taxis around D7 when I need one.They just aren't bothering to race back into town like before because it's a mess.

While I'm moaning those fukking stupid bollards on the cycle lane mean it's impossible to stop and wait for passengers on the apps.They made a bollox of town and there isn't a cyclist to be seen anywhere.

The 2 main drinking/party throughfares in Cork, Oliver Plunkett street is now fully pedestrianized since Covid and Washington street is reduced to one lane with the cycle bollards making accepting an app job in either area almost impossible to pick up from, yet the customers still constantly hail on the apps from these areas.
