For all the branded ambassadors .What do you do if a passenger walks up to you or flags you down and says can I pay with Free Now do you say yes and give Free Now a % of YOUR job ? If you had to have a Credit card facility you could remove the branding .The future is simple .The Apps will suspend drivers who refuse jobs and I will bet they increase the freight as well  if we get an increase their % or our increase wont be enough for them Comission will be 20% very soon especially if as I predicted we win back a lot of work from them by having Credit Facilities .BUT DONT FORGET TO REPLY TO THE NTA SAYING YOU AGREE TO BOTH THE FARE INCREASE AND THE CREDIT CARD FACILITY .You can be sure the Apps will be saying they already supply credit card facilities that are secure .Remember you can still take cash its just you must also take card .

'Pay by Freenow' street jobs are very few and far between, I think I had about 2 ever before the Zero commission went to today's 15% (because the drivers were using it amongst themselves to get priority status fer free). Ever since I never had a single request, and if I had then I prob would have refused it telling them they could pay by card.

I hope yer all considering signing up to Bolt and Uber.Last time we got a fare increase Freenow used it as an opportunity to increase commission.

The really annoying thing is they would have already gotten an increase as the fares went up but they still wanted more.Greedy fuks.

@ merch I think My Taxi resisted the last fare increase .It would of suited them to delay independent card payments as their main selling point was you can pay by card .I hope we ALL drop the App until they introduce a flat fee of no more that the PUC for jobs .

For years taxi drivers in New York and London where cards have been mandatory have been pretending their machines weren't working properly..Not that many people will bother complaining to the NTA so it will be hard to enforce.

I got a job last night off Vicar Street I was third car .First two would not take card .Job to Red Cow luas to catch the JJ Kavanagh bus to Kilkenny .Imagine if no taxi took a card that girl could of missed her bus and been stranded in Dublin .

Last week I got a chap off the Google rank out to the airport.He pulled out the fancy credit card on T1 without warning insisting he had no Euros at all, but my Sumup wouldn't sync for the first time ever.We both sat in the car for about 10 minutes while I updated my app and tried to fix it.Eventually, the lying bollox pulled some crisp euro notes out of nowhere and said he was gonna miss his flight.Bastard had it all along.Probably an expenses thing.

I dont know if there is some sort of wi fi blocker in the airport but the only sum up fail I ever had was in the port .I usually connect the sum up device to my phone after the roundabout and enter the fare and get paid before I stop .The passenger then dosent waste time paying its done before we stop and he can get on with his busy life or holiday .
