Quote from: Justin Time on April 30, 2022, 02:45:53 pmA lot of talk in the media(newspapers/radio) and social media about "the lack of taxis".Indeed we even had Mr Vinny Kearns on the radio talking about the shortages of taxis.Remember him? He use to "represent" taxi drivers interests against the very people he's turned into. Funny what a few bob can do to ones principles.Another theme getting a lot of mention is drivers at night pulling in for people, rolling down his window to ask the potential passenger where they are going, and is he doesnt like it, he wont take them. Its not good behaviour I think we can all agree, but it does seem to be happening more often than not lately and giving us a bad name. To be fair, so-called taxi drivers' representative, Jim Waldron has been saying that since long before the COVID '19 anall pandemic. He told the press that thousands of drivers have left the trade to pursue more lucrative vocational opportunities and that entry costs are too high. The authorities clearly don't listen to drivers, maybe the bosses have more clout?

Is that what Waldron's at these days?
