.... I used to carry this couple, very wealthy from Dublin. 9 euro fare, never would give you any more than 9. ...
Why would you have regulars that only have a 9 Euro fare ??

I don't really get your question, are you saying why such a low charge? as in they wouldnt be worth carrying?
Yes, I don't do regulars (especially 9 Euro ones) nor pre-books, my reasoning being that you can't accept a job fer 30 minutes before a pre-book.

Very true.

I used to carry this couple, very wealthy from Dublin. 9 euro fare, never would give you any more than 9.

Then one day I was ONE MINUTE late collecting them as the traffic was very bad. I meet them coming the other way in another taxi. I rang them a couple of times but they let it got to voicemail. Saw them at the train station many times over the next year or 2, they always skipped me even if I was the first taxi, saw them in many other taxis over that year but they never rang me again.

Then one busy bank holiday I was collecting a good customer at the train station, the tight couple were there beside her, my customer says I have more customers for you if they arent barred, I said yes they are barred. The couple tried to get in my taxi, you arent getting in I said, yer man laughs, I said im not joking you arent coming with us. Dont be so petty he said, I let him have it then, said why did you go with another taxi? oh we didnt know if you were coming bla bla bla.

I drove off and left them there, my customer thought it was hilarious and said I was right to leave them there.

Drove by the train station a half hour later and they were still there lol
I hope you beeped them! 8)

No, not my style. I actually drove by them at another spot a few hours later and they tried to flag me down, I dont think they knew it was me.  :)

They knew alright... they always know.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.
