It was TD Richard O’Donoghue who said it in the Dáil.
It was clarified this evening.
Eamon Ryan drove down in his own car and borrowed a bike from a fellow Green member and used that. He didnt take the train and he didnt have any bike in any state car.

Why drive 99% of the way and then borrow a bicycle?

If a TD gets the train somewhere, can they only claim the cost the ticket? And if a TD drives somewhere, can they claim 'civil service ' mileage?

I wonder what the monetary difference between both modes of transport?

Did he overnight and claim hotel expenses as well?
