« on: June 27, 2022, 01:13:17 pm »
The head of the HSE has handed in his notice .The top paid civil servant is running for cover .The Hospitals must be bolloxed or the Childrens Hospital is going to cost Seventeen Trillion and twenty Cent .You dont give up good gigs like than unless you know the Shit is on the move .

An initial effort to find a new leader failed to find a successor to Mr O’Brien, which then came with a salary of around €250,000 annually. Mr Reid, who worked with Eircom as well as in the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform, was eventually hired on a salary of €370,136. With allowances of around €50,000, his total remuneration in 2020 was over €420,000 and €411,777 in 2021.

I will give him credit for one thing.
When asked …How do you solve the HSE problem,he said.
The only way to cure the problem is to shut it all down and start from scratch….but thats not going to happen!

For three years he got over 1million to pretend that he could fix it!

Who could blame him?  He's part of a trend.  A lot of senior people in public service are leaving and will probably end up in the private sector where they'll earn a lot more money.  I can't find the exact number but Dalton Philips from the DAA is going from his €250k job to Greencore where I *think* his total package will be c. €2M
Getting old is compulsory whilst growing up is voluntary.
