e-toll and wheelchair taxis

Are we exempt from paying this toll? or is it just owners of Vehicles modified for disabled use?

The following vehicles are exempt from paying the M50 toll charge:

Vehicles modified for disabled use
Motorcycles
Fingal County Council vehicles
Army vehicles
Vehicles performing maintenance on the M50
Garda and ambulance service vehicles

I think the taxi driver 'uses' it while the disabled passenger just sits in the back?  Unless the driver is feeling very lucky and swops places with the passenger

Yea  watty ...but the cripple  is bean blatantly discriminated against cause  ultimately he/she has to pay the toll for the taxi ....wer as another wheelchair user gets free cause they've ther own car ...that's economic discrimination on top of everytin else

Im sure that Crypmobiles are preregistered on the System and are certified to be modified for private use ,A taxi is a Commercial Vehicle for the purpose of the Toll .If taxis were toll free Bernard Scullion from the Flats ,Not Dommos Flats crosses over the East Link every day .It would be worth is while buying a Part worn Jock Crypmobile plating it up claim the tax writeoffs and free toll and sure he might even do a bit .

The easiest  solution is to giv all cripples a free tag that is implanted an sealed in ther wheelchair.....bit like chippin yur cat ...it can't be tampered wit unless ya kill the poor cnut

This EV Toll Incentive or EVTI is due to run until December 2022.

Think it was limited numbers as well so if you weren't in at the beginning, you're out of luck!

It is definately a bit vague, if you are indeed driving a WAT then best to call the Disability Toll Exemption Scheme on 1800 11 55 00 to get it clarified.

Unless the WAT owner has a disability it would be treated as a PSV and therefore when carrying passenger/s would be able to charge as part of the fare and issue a receipt with the toll charge manually included,if the passenger has a way of claiming that then great.
