It would take a long while to charge a leccy motor with a petrol/diesel generator.Could be trouble ahead.Even in the last few weeks I've seen new EVs plated up.Big gamble alright.

The gobshites will probably plan ahead and charge up.  They might even do it while they're sleeping.  Then they'll laugh at the morons with near empty tanks who didn't realise that petrol stations need electricity to operate?

No for now but soon if it has the right connection.  But many of the new EV's coming out now will have the technology for 2-way charging.  Ultimately, you'll plug your EV into a house with solar panels and they'll all swap electricity with each other and to the grid and everybody will be happy.  Or something like that  :P

It's very odd that they're on the telly going on about turning off extra lights and retail businesses closing at the weekend  but leccy motors use massive amounts of power and nothing is being said about them.

For example Watty's yoke takes the same amount of power to charge to full as the average household uses in four days. The two polices aren't compatible.Something isn't right. How can they expect to keep pushing these vehicles without the capacity on the grid?

Merch will you just Fuck off .There is no room on this forum for Logic or Common sense .Do you think if we knitted a cover for the car we could save on heating .or could we knit a cover for the house to match your knitted jumper and matching knitted beard .I was down Big Dommos eldest sisters house today .She has a picture of the Pope JFK and Gretta in the hall beside the Mother of Prague statue and the holy water .This Greenology is becoming a Cult .

^^^Octy you'd need a windmill the size of a bus to charge an EV at any respectable speed.I'm sure it's on the way but it's a few years out.I'm seriously considering putting a deposit on a brand new Corolla hybrid.Feels stupid but there aren't that many options.

I agree John the green energy enthusiasts are a bit like a cult.
