RTE radio 1 on Sunday night/Mon mornings plays 'Gold', I only discovered it last week on a way out of town long job.
The real Goodies from the old time like 'Mull of Kintyre' (Wings), 'Baby Love' (Supremes), 'Dixieland' (Elvis), Etc ...
Fer the Auld night-time drivers, actually RTE radio 1 plays 'Gold' every night between 3am and 5.30am, No ad's but with a 2 minute news bulletin at the top of each hour.
+ Sandie Shaw, Elvis, Roy Orbison, Eagles, Beach boys, Etc....  lol   lol

Done the guts of 9 hours myself yesterday, erm... starting at 15:01, soon after Sunday luncheon, Sunday luncheon without a glass of wine or a whiskey with the post dinner smoke. I don't think people appreciate the sacrifices we make. I went out to dinner once last week... on a Wednesday and I can't remember the last time I went to the public bar... although, I'm not sure if that's down to my ever diminishing memory function or because there's an inordinately relatively long gap evolving between visits.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

While I'm feeling sorry for myself I should add that my Sunday supper was served in a paper bag, wrapped in more paper, accompanied by a paper cup of coffee... wolfed down behind the wheel of a small automobile.

Listening to Talking Heads.

And you may find yourself living in a shotgun shack
And you may find yourself in another part of the world
And you may find yourself behind the wheel of a large automobile
And you may find yourself in a beautiful house, with a beautiful wife
And you may ask yourself, "Well, how did I get here?" 8)
