Passport
« on: February 07, 2023, 09:02:07 pm »
Meant to go to Foreign parts in the next few weeks  but my passport is out of date .If you are sending a digital photo there is a website that you can send the photo to and have it pre approved for acceptance before you put in the application .The reason for most refusals to issue a passport is non conforming photos .Ask your Photographer for the E mail I got mine done In Liffey Valley and he sent it off and got it pre approved before he sent it to me in digital form .

Had two "professional" ones rejected... one from the (supposedly approved) Photo Me machine in Tescos, rejected upon code entry (upload) and one from the Pharmacy, accepted on upload but rejected at a later stage.... so I got the younger not so young lad to take it with his clever telephone and that worked... as Octy alludes to, the passport arrived within a few days once the photo was accepted.

If your vision is impaired requiring corrective lenses it's probably best to remove spectacles - even though the instructions on the passport website state the contrary. I did remove mine for the final attempt, it's no big deal to take them off at passport control points.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.
