I heard he's down on Deanstown Green, another mentioned Mellowes. I dropped him from the Ratoath Drive address to Deanstown something or other.

i think it was my third official meltdown driving a taxi originated in that neck of the woods. Mellowes road. During one of the lockdowns. Summer around 5am. Coming back from Donabate. Anudder job in Donabate pinged going to Swords. Great that'll take me home. New build houses. A yungfla and two yungwans. Dog rough. The yungfla asked me if I'd come from Portrane mental asylum because I looked like a weirdo. I do look half riddled to be fair so i gave him that. Javenny choons. I'll choon your hole ye little cunt ye. Anywaysanall they were cagey with their destination. Like they did'nt know where they were going. I kept askin them where they wanted to go and each time it was met with Wha? They wanted to hit a petrol station to buy balloons. This was the first time I'd heard the word balloon in my car. Did'nt know what they were talkin about. Balloon this. Balloon that. I thought they were talkin about condoms. Are yiz havin an orgy or sumtin I saysta to them. Wha? Hit two or three petrol stations and no balloons. Seriously losin my patience now. They decided to go to Finglas to retrieve coke from wunna the yungwan's gaffs. Can ye tell me where in Finglas I'm going. Wha? Do you want me to go straight here. Wha? Is it this right. Wha? Got the coke and they started doin bumps and blaring untcha untcha untcha untcha untcha music on a bluetooth speaker. Where do you wanna go now. Wha? I remember my right eye was going 90 up the motorway and i finally snapped just coming off the M1 to Donabate. I did a wunner down the Hearse road. Approaching a ton on the meter. GETCH YOUR MONEY READY through gritted teeth i says. I pulled up outside the gaff and they bailed outta the car and dissappeared inta the house and closed the door without handin any dosh over. Three other toerags bail in. Oliver Bond street bro yeah sound bro. HAVE'NT BEEN PAID. Wha? Whar are ye sayin? I HAVE'NT BEEN FUCKINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN PAID. I'll pay the fare wunna them says. GUARDS. Wha? I'M RINGIN THE FUCKINNNNNNNN GUARDZZZZZZZZ. They started panickin and banged on the door and this yoke eventually came out. A real gangster's bit on the side lookin yoke. How much. ONE HUNDREDDDDDDDDD. There ye go. The other three yokes bail back in. GET OUT. Wha? GET THE FFFFFFUCKKKKKKKK OUTTTTTTT and to be fair they did and I tore outta there like a mad man. Took maybe a half hour to calm down. I think I was a fuckin hour listenin to them.

Only two dead in 5 years or did you get bored looking?
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

I hadn't time to include Ratoath Drive or Abbotstown Avenue, have you a minute or two to spare?

Neither the time nor the inclination... but I woulda thought there'd be a lot more than that. In fact, I'd say Coolock could beat those numbers?

As of 2014 Finglas division tops the charts:https://www.independent.ie/irish-news/unsolved-gang-killings-top-100-in-two-divisions-30201392.html

You mean as at 2014. There wasn't much in it back then:

Quote
Finglas has some 30 unsolved gang murders, believed to be the highest figure for any single district in the country. The area has been quiet over the past three years as some of those responsible for murders were themselves killed and a number of others jailed for other offences.

Coolock is the next worst district with some 24 unsolved murders. Clondalkin district, in the western division, has some 19 outstanding murder cases involving gang killings.

Garda sources in the northern and western divisions say that, aside from witness intimidation, murder investigations are not properly resourced, though the majority of unsolved murders happened prior to the sharp cuts on overtime following the economic collapse of 2008.

I think Octy was saying it's all down to the Russians, anyway.
