I would imagine that the person you seemingly taught (as your Protege) had of appreciated your input,
or indeed the input of his now customers, he would have posted it himself ??

So you were posting about an un-named driving instructor in order to help him drum up business ??

Since my experience with electricians and the home charger, I've often thought kids should be told how much the trades earn - it would stop a lot of them turning to drug dealing - and the best part is it's all legal  >:D

I was in my local Spar shop this morning and the shopkeeper was moaning.  He and his business partner worked all the hours during lockdown to keep the shop open but he's worried now that prices are going up so much, people will stop coming into his shop.  For example, a single slice of turkey (in a roll) costs him 90c now and the ice creams (Magnet, Twister etc) are heading towards €3.

Watty I posted here I got a few lads apprenticeships through the South Inner City Partnership in the new Childrens Hospital .They ALL Quit .I contacted a few people and told them CIE were looking for train drivers before it was advertised and nobody was interested .I told Family members ESB were recruiting Qualified and apprentices before it was advertised they were not interested .Local Youth Groups and Football Clubs are being asked if they have young people looking for work and nobody is interested .You cannot drive an Audi or wear a Duck Down Jacket on apprentice money .Drug dealing is now probably the main source of income for more young lads than apprenticeships .

No.  Before fuel prices went mental, I was saving about €1k a year.  Rewiring the house would cost €14k, $$ for the replastering/tidy-up, and another €1.5k for the charger.  So maybe pay out €17-18k to save another €500/year on top of that?  I can't justify that sort of money right now.

You're probably right.  But a trade could take you all over the world.  If you were young and fit, you could try mining in Australia or Canada for a year or two and make a small fortune.
