No you are self employed WTF do you want representation .They wanted a buy back of an assett you can now rent out for about 1500 a year they promoted Hailo that now charges you 15% of your earnings .We are getting 20K off a new motor .What issues do you want them to sort ?

Like any industry there are issues we need to deal with. Illegal operators are a big problem and the NTA aren't bothered about it.

You need to deal with it .If your man was gone could you cover all the work ?How many locals would notice not enough taxis and decide to go into the industry .You are getting annoyed by the individual not the circumstance .Illegal operators are probably keeping money hungry newcommers out of your area .

There are enough legit taxis to cover the work. problem is now I suspect there are a few more illegals operating in my town, its what I predicted would happen. The cost of entry to the industry is what is keeping newcomers out of it.

The game never had intelligent representation, just deluded individuals with self-interest at heart.
All bought off in one way or another.

Try talking to fellow cabbies in your town.

I rekon Ken the local guardai super is connected to the illegal .....an thats how hes not gettin caut ....he's gettin tipped off ...
Or they don't giv a fuk cause the way they see it ..... this illegal is helping to clear the streets at nite an ther  less drunks on the streets
Hangin around at nite that cud cause trouble for the  fuzz / pigs  the better ....or the local super or seargents family own all the pubs an it's good for ther business that the  illegal  ferry the ferals from up the mountains an down the bogs  to ther businesses inta town an it's an important part of the transport infrastructure in ther area ...
But it looks to me like the guards don't want to know for watever reason ...

There's no enforcement, T1990. Taxis meandering out of control while their drivers are fixated on their clever telephone screens are commonplace up above in Dublin. Most taxi drivers seem to consider themselves exempt from speed limits, traffic controls and road markings. While our cars are subjected to multiple tests annually there is no test for drivers whatsoever and, most Irish of all, even if you manage to encounter an enforcement officer and amass penalty points proving yourself to be incompetent your SPSV Driving Licence will still be renewed. It's a complete farce. NTA will tell you enforcement is a matter for RSA, RSA will say it's down to the Gradai, the Gardai are about as much use as a chocolate fireguard. I think it's safe to assume that Free Now have NTA and the Gardai in their pockets. I don't have to tell you they couldn't care a jot about your or your passengers' wellbeing, 15-30% is all that interests them.

Maybe Freenow might get the NTA and Guards to act regarding illegal operators as it will affect them.
