Taxis or not
« on: April 12, 2023, 08:14:29 pm »
Ya know the cars with stickers on the windows but not on the doors, what's the craic with them. Are they taxis or not. Like have they a licence but no plate. Who do they get work off?  Or are they renewing the licence then taking stickers off and driving the car privately?

I've seen one of these deluded fools ranking up on Baggot St.
When I told him to get his fucking wedding car out of my taxi rank he tried to tell me 'brother I am a taxi too'
So I parallel parked half an inch from his door till he got the message.

Uber have a ten year limit on their limos but they could easily drop that anytime.

Freenow have been giving work to older limos for a long time.

I believe they're supposed to be only limo/exec jobs but I'd say they're covering taxi jobs when it's busier.

I remember looking in on a taxi driver Facebook group years ago and the taxi gobshites were giving the new limo Wannabees all the info they needed including which insurance companies offered the best deal. All this to cover taxi work on the apps in a limo.

Don't forget lads there's no age limits on limos. In theory we could be swamped with teenage Superbs covering our taxi work for even cheaper than we can do it on the meter.

A taxi cab company owner uses an old Nissan as a Limo FFS!
