That is not true Octy, if you had done it properly like you stated, firstly you would have reported it to FN an that is the reply you would have got also stating that if you wish to pursue it with the Gardai then they would provide the Gardai with any help required.
But you didn't, you just went off on a rant never bothering to contact Gardai and with the vain hope that FN would give you the runner's phone number so as you could roar some abuse down the phone line at them.

FN don't give customers phone numbers to drivers under any circumstances and on looking at some of the nut-jobs on here using it (Octy especially) I reckon that is a pretty good policy.

Without an app, a base or private phone work Ken. I tell you the worst thing I hate about this job. Its trying to get to someone who's waiting on you, stuck in traffic, running late then the pox bags cancel as you're pulling up. Does my head in. I also hate waiting outside gafs for people.  They're in there finishing their drink whilst you sit like a knob waiting on them. I also hate when palatic drunk ppl fall out of gafs and I've to boot off and cancel. More time wasted. I'm happy plodding around doing my own thing and deciding who gets into my car and who doesn't, not some poxy app that's stealing from your pocket on top of dictating to you. Fuck them and fuck their app.

Ken Tallaght is bigger than Cork City .Horse would know when Bingo is over certain fellas leave the pub at the same time every night .Local Drug dealers and shoppers dont use apps so you just drive the Highway a few GAA clubs and three or four busy venues .Horse could probably cover 20 jobs a shift and stay local .If I do a day shift I will be home by 8pm as most people going out are already out and anybody out is staying out .I go back out 10.15 Pm decide to head for Ballyer or Crumlin might put on Free now to get a start .Mc Gregors in Drimnagh usually has plenty of passing trade tourists who want to see his place plenty of pubs in Crumlin Village and plenty of late night shoppers usually boomerangs .Wouldnt go near Clondalkin Village tens of taxis parked up for hours just to do local runs .Its all a matter of knowing your plot .A simple hint follow the bus routes no use cutting through housing estates as most people looking for transport head twords the bus .

The population of Tallaght is about 80k, the population of Cork city is about 250k.

Your points are well made John M, but still no way could Horse pay annual taxi expenses
and make a living better than dole money on a DAYS ONLY 15-20 hour week with no app or base.

Are you still flinging accusations at me Ken? OK, I'll try and explain myself to you, don't know why I should have to but I will. Ever since covid I realised I can get by with a relatively small amount of money.  500 quid a week covers me and my taxi. Don't forget I don't live alone and my misses also has an income as do my two kids who are both working.  My 500 is generally broken down into 100 for petrol and smokes (I don't smoke a lot), 200 towards the running of the gaf (we all chip in) and 200 for me to do as I wish. My 500 is generally got in 4 days doing around 5 or 6 hours a day which equates to 20-25 an hour. That's generally how I work. Now if I need extra, like a holiday in sicily with my son, then I will work more. Generally I work 20 to 25 hours a week and get by. Stop calling me a liar ya plank.
