There is a science behind the viewing distance, picture quality and TV size - https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/by-size/size-to-distance-relationship

So for 6ft (TV at end of the bed), 43" is the perfect size and you won't see any quality difference with a bigger TV.  My TV is 8ft away from me so 55-60 inches is the perfect size for me, for instance.

If you like it, that's the main thing.  I guess it's like those guys who buy a brand new Merc for a taxi yet they can only charge the same fare as the fella in a budget Octavia. Above a certain level, the value for money stops.

You can cast ur phone, in HD, to the telly if you're that way inclined.  In saying that I've got literally thousands of TV channels from all over the world plugged into it.

Maybe they should start charging less for the first few rows in a cinema so. Up close and personal and all that.

I like the technicalities of TV more than the actual watching so every room in the gaff is hardwired for Saorview, Satellite and Gigabit broadband and I can access one of my TV boxes via tinternet incase I forget to record something and then remember between leaving the gaff and the programme starting. With all that in place I'd probably rather read a paperback.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

I'd agree, back in the late Eighties/early Nineties I was a dinger at Ceefax, Aertel and all text stations and also VHS VCR's.
I defo spent more time setting them up than actually watching them.
