Minimum Wage
« on: October 07, 2023, 10:50:03 am »
Minimum wage to increase by €1.40 in Budget 2024 along with supports for small businesses  ..WILL WE GET ANYTHING ...WILL WE FUCK .

The minimum wage is set to increase by €1.40 in the Budget but additional financial supports for businesses will be introduced to soften the blow.
The Government has agreed to accept a proposal from the Low Pay Commission to increase the minimum wage to €12.70.

I wonder how many drivers are clearing 12.70 an hour for Daywork ?after expenses .That is the MINIMUM wage  That is a 56 Euro Wage increase for a 40 hour week .Small Coffee Shops corner Shops restaurants ,Wont be able to afford that .Wait until the Cresh owners have to pay higher wages to baby minders .Trying to buy an election but going to cause tens of thousands of low paid job losses .You now see why the CETA Garage in Liffey Valley is self service people are becoming to expensive to employ .

Falling down scenario:

You are a grown person who delivers fast food to fat people.

You get a delivery order on the app for a "Breakfast meal"

There's a queue at the normal till for breakfast meals.

But App ordered food is prepared from a different till.

Your English isn't great, so you show the order number to the bacon flipper from your clever phone.

She tries to explain to you via Google Translate on her clever phone that the order has expired. The reason is that while it was ordered before eleven, by the time they get around to reading the order it has gone past 11.00 and Breakfast Meals cease.

McDonald's manager has to not only ring Ubber,Jus teats, or Deliver-poo she also has to contact the shut-in that their dietary requirements will not be met.

Then she has to go back to the bike/food/drug courier, who is at the end of his tether and explain via Google Translate that there's no job and no commission to be earned.

Is it any wonder they carry knives, cycle up one-way streets, or can't afford batteries for their lights? plus they have to pay the rentier for the freight cost of the bike. I'd murder someone too, but where to start?

Do You have to Pay Tax on Minimum Wage in Ireland? After deductions, an Irish employee earning minimum wage and working 40 hours per week is likely to take home €20,918 per year — equal to take-home pay of €1,743 per month.10 Sept 2023……..That is less than 400e a week.A full time taxi driver, would need to gross more than 21k to get that .
Dis an Dat Im not a rat
