What`s glaringly missing is no videos of "atrocities committed" have surfaced on social media. I haven`t seen footage of mass burials in Israel. @ Robbie .You said assuming this is not my assessment ,did you not read the whole tread .I do not know how you could assume this is not my assessment I posted similar excluding the Infant based feast that was served up by others .I posted about the Murderous Brits and Yanks in fact I clearly stated there would never be World Peace until the States gets bombed turning them into a defensive nation and not the Worlds leading Aggressors .I posted an alternative version of the issue from an Israeli side and Clearly stated both Israel and Hamas both offended me but for one to be educated they must see both sides of an argument then their opinion becomes an opinion and not an Echo of some one else's .

I guess I'm not surprised but the vast majority of the reporting has been so one-sided and any dissenting voices are attacked quite strongly.  It seems to me that a lot of public opinion is sympathetic to the Palestinians but you don't see in the media.  Public protests in the UK in support of them are considered criminal and people are getting arrested.  I saw one article that the police are investing someone who wore a Hamas costume for Hallowen!

For over 50 years, the BBC basically had a neutral reporting stance.  They didn't call groups terrorists or freedom fighters or whatever.  But now they can't say the word Hamas without saying the UK Govt considers them terrorists.  So much for unbiased reporting!

And for me, universities are places where you go a bit mad and spend a few years being radical and solving all the world's problems because you're 21 and you know best.  But, in America, the kids and lecturers are being punished for having a different opinion to the politicians. 

Nobody's mentioning that Israeli citizens are attacking & killing Palestinians in the West Bank or that the Israeli Govt told the Gazans to move south and now they're bombing those supposed 'safe' places.

Re the statues:  The 1916 into the Civil War was a very difficult time for many Irish people and apparently it was common to have brother fighting/shooting brother.  I believe, even to this day, that some families don't talk about it.  And FF, FG and SF meant different things back then to what they do nowadays.  So maybe the official policy is to let sleeping dogs lie?

And maybe we're just not 'statue' people?  Look at the abuse that the various sculptures got when they were put up.  The floozie in the jacuzzi, the millenium clock that had to be hidden near Parkgate St, The Spire - a monument to junkies, the boobs of the Molly Malone are being worn away because people keep copping a feel!  etc etc...

I find channel 4 news balanced, since the days of jon snow, but most other news networks lack depth of issues and I suspect is the dumbing down of masses. Leaving cert has to be dumbed down inflating grades and universities struggling to educate kids. Students now get their university lessons on tik tok, which in a way has revolutionised media in an organic way rather than top down
