I just tell them I have an arrangement with Carphone Warehouse... they don't drive folk from A to B free of charge and I don't supply phone chargers free of charge.

I'm not that Cranky yet, my Iphone charger is very easily moved to a passengers phone.
But as fer rooting through the center consule department fer the Samsung charger and changing connections, they can forget about that !

I'm not cranky. I tell them nicely! In fact, only last night I let a lad off a euro 'cos he only had €23.05 on his Revolut card... and paid Sumup 1.65% of what I got.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

Why are you paying Sum-up 1.65% ?
That is the standard rate fer non business customers.
I use their Taxi business account and get a better rate of 1.42%.

I just double checked to confirm, and my last sum-up sales were €22 and €21.69 was transfered to my bank account, which is 1.42% commission.

Why would a non-business be taking card payments?

How does one switch to a business account?

I checked my sumup profile and I'm listed as a sole trader.
Try contacting sumup support.

The 1.42% was a deal between FN and sumup as I remember. Probably just tell them you’re working with FN

The orginal FN/Sum up deal that I got as an ambassador back in 2016 was Free commission on all Sumup jobs as FN paid the commission bill fer me. That lasted fer about 2.5 years and then it went to 1.42%.
I can't remember where I saw it recently but as a Taxi sole trader I do remember reading it somewhere on the Sum up site that commission is 1.42%.
