Best bit of luck you had working in this job?
« on: February 27, 2024, 05:50:06 pm »
I hadnt done an airport job in a few months, but by luck 2 came along at the same time, the first passengers had to be collected in my town at 6 am so I dropped them at the airport, then pulled the duvet out and had a sleep for an hour while waiting for the 2nd passengers to land at the same airport.  :2cheers

You keep a duvet in your boot?  Do you rent it out by the half hour to teenagers who need somewhere to shag  rofl

Best bit of luck for me?  I used to dip my toe in doing nights way back when.  Got a guy and his girlfriend's sister going back to his place.  He was begging the GF's sister to come into the house with him and eventually she relented.  They needed food so he pulled out his wallet stuffed with 50's (drugs or gambling?) and gave me about €400 to go to the local chipper and bring back food.  I did and knocked on the door to give him the change but he never answered the door.  So reluctantly I had to leave with the guy's change (~€350) stuffed in my back pocket  O:-)

Probably took the guy hours to figure out what 2 snack boxes were doing outside his front door the next morning  :o

If it wasn't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

"Born Under a Bad Sign" is a blues song recorded by American blues singer and guitarist Albert King in 1967. Called "a timeless staple of the blues", the song also had strong crossover appeal to the rock audience with its synchronous bass and guitar lines and topical astrology reference.

To prove the point, Ken... I invested my weekly free fiver bet from LSB in a 7 man accumulator on Friday afternoon's darts:

One foreign cunt got beaten by another foreign cunt, letting me down to the tune of €3,894.25!

P.S. I'm still sulking over my Brazil Bobo bet.
