Virtual taxi queue at DAP
« on: April 11, 2024, 07:49:59 pm »
If you join the Q after dropping at the airport drive out of the airport past the hotel and the Kesh you are put off the Q at the right -hand bend.

Now, if you continue down to the big roundabout and turn right onto Swords Road past Kealy's, you stay in the queue up to the M50 overpass.

Never join the queue, just x out of it...if ye do an Uber to the airport(at certain times) there's a good chance of getting a job out of it.

It's to do with the new permit rules for non keshies.
You are only permitted to pick up.a pre-booked passenger in zone 18,and that booking must have originated outside of DAP.
So I'd expect the virtual rank to disappear completely inside the airport soon.
Uber and Bolt have done nothing about the new rules,so Freenow must be thinking legal action because of their driver/passengers being at a disadvantage.

Yas. It's often referred to as the womb, or the mothership.

Do they still have the 15min rule for short fares?

Bolt doesn't operate a virtual queue.

The Free Now virtual queue is still operating within DAP although it seems to have been extended into Cloghran as far as Glen Dimplex or thereabouts.

As Hal says, just press the X when the box pops up.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

I'm not interested in touting - but will join the queue for the brief period I'm heading back into the work. If a job suits me I'll take it.

I hope you're not joining virtual queues while on DAA property. You'll could lose your permit if you have a permit and get caught doing that.

I got a couple of snatches off T2 last Sunday evening. Commission free cash... happy days!

If you're in with the green caps, everywhere is twenty minutes.
