Dublin taxi driver allegedly dragged passenger out of cab and kicked him
Vadim Chtchipakine (46) is accused of attacking the man after getting into an argument with him as he drove him home.
A taxi driver dragged a passenger out of his cab, kicked him about the body and drove off, leaving him injured on the side of the road, it is alleged.

He is facing trial after a judge ruled the case was too serious to be dealt with at district court level.
Judge David McHugh adjourned the case at Blanchardstown District Court for further DPP directions to be given.
Mr Chtchipakine, of Mount Seskin Road, Saggart, is charged with assault causing harm to the man at Callighstown, Rathcoole, on October 8, 2022.
Garda Sergeant Walter Sweeney said the alleged victim ordered a taxi from Rathcoole village to his home at 4am and during the journey, it was alleged, the accused argued with him
Mr Chtchipakine exited, approached the passenger side, opened the door and pulled the man out of the taxi, Sgt Sweeney alleged.
Mr Chtchipakine allegedly threw the passenger to the ground and kicked him to the body and arms several times. He then got back into the taxi and drove away. The alleged victim suffered bruising and swelling to his body and arms.
A medical report submitted to the court stated that the man had sustained a large haematoma to his forearm and underwent surgery.
He also had swelling to his right knee and complained of difficulty walking or moving his arm after the alleged assault.
He reported that the injuries were as a result of him being dragged from a taxi and kicked on the ground.
The DPP consented to the case being dealt with in the district court but Judge McHugh refused jurisdiction.
He adjourned the case to a date in July for the further consideration of the DPP.
