Silver I got sent the Vid of it before it was even on the News Media .But did you listen to the Reports on the RTE or Newstalk .It said a factory on the Oscar Traynor Road .The same Road as The Crown Paint Refugee site .It left it open to missinformation .The Venue was Clonshaugh not Oscar Traynor .But I suppose if you want people to keep listening to news bullitins then make the news vague .

RTE News made it perfectly clear that the fire was c.3 kilos away from the usual rioting site.

The paint factory is on Malahide Rd. Clonshaugh Industrial Estate (where the fire was) is on Oscar Traynor Road. I can't see any scope for confusion among those that know where both roads are.

Oscar Traynor Road runs from M50 (Junction 2) in the heart of Coolock to Malahide Road in the outskirts of Coolock. Malahide Road runs from Fairview to Malahide, passing through the outskirts of Coolock.

Hope that helps!

Strange as it may seem the gaffs they're building on Oscar Traynor Rd / Coolock Lane border the M50 and are being marketed as being in the heart of Coolock. The gaffs the other side of the Oscar Traynor Rd / Coolock Lane, also bordering the M50, are generally marketed as Santry when up for sale... so, in fact, the new gaffs are being deliberately downgraded, presumably to achieve "affordability".

In any event, the paint factory is a long way from the fire, something that was stressed on RTE news for those who might not know the area or, indeed, those who (like yourself) thought the paint factory was on Oscar Traynor Road.

Not sure if arson has been ruled out for last evening's fire but I was speaking with a man in a bar in the beautiful seaside resort town of Balbriggan after attending the theatre last night who had formed the opinion that far right extremists were using drones to burn Coolock to the ground. Maybe the factory, like most factories in that estate, employs a lot of single male immigrants of (child) raping age?

I'd imagine that a lot of angry people around the country have noticed how successful a bit of fire/arson is in achieving one's agenda.

Gardaí advise Coolock site developer not to attach court order to site due to safety concerns

Quote
Gardaí are advising the developer and leaseholder of the former Crown Paints factory in Coolock to refrain from pinning a written court order to its entrance due to safety concerns, a judge has been told.  The High Court’s Mr Justice Rory Mulcahy on Wednesday extended his injunctions restraining attendance from people engaging in behaviour calculated to threaten, intimidate or interfere with contractors' ability to work on the property.

Sure, only on Monday did someone set fire (probably) to a commercial building in Longford - Vandals targeted restaurant days before ‘devastating’ blaze swept through Longford building

Quote
Haidi Zhou, of Oyama Sushi Japanese Restaurant, revealed how in the lead up to the business’ opening, the premises had been the target of suspected vandalism.

“(On) Tuesday, spray paint was put on (the) windows,” she said, while gazing across at the cordoned off building. “Who would do it? I don’t know.”

The incident was reported to gardaí and is the subject of a separate garda probe as detectives examine whether its immediacy to Sunday’s fire could provide a possible sinister link to the blaze.

Millions of euro damage and 12 businesses destroyed after a Japanese restaurant was targeted initially.  But, sure, casualties of war or something...

Indeed, arson doesn't require democratic support. I guess it makes sense to far right extremists to include any building that employs (im)migrants as legitimate targets. There mightn't be a hospital, train station, convenience store, factory, bus depot, etc, etc left in Coolock when they're done.

I wonder if their principles will follow them into hospital when time catches up with them.  Remember the Beaumont driver on here who didn't like 'dem foreigners'.  It all changed when his heart problem was fixed by a cadre of well-trained foreigners in Beaumont.  He doesn't visit here anymore - maybe the doctors advised him to 'keep calm and carry on?'

It would be the ultimate irony if one of the right-whingers got their operation cancelled because the hospital staff couldn't make it in time due to street protests!

Irish "developers" have a long history of their purchases being either, burned down by "vandals" or, protected structures being bulldozed on a bank holiday weekend without the "knowledge" of the owners.

See Chapelgate - Archer's Garage - The Davenport Hotel site - And the 19th-century convent in Terenure.:  https://fora.ie/terenure-gate-kimpton-vale-clonsilla-3351960-Apr2017/

The difference in Coolock is that the "Developer" didn't have to lift a finger...or a match! 8)

Two hospitalised after fire at refugee centre in Co Mayo

Quote
Two people have been hospitalised for smoke inhalation after fire broke out at a centre accommodating asylum seekers and refugees in Co Mayo.  Gardaí and fire personnel are at the scene of the fire this morning at the international protection centre at the Breaffy Woods complex where several hundred people live.  The outbreak of fire reported around breakfast time has been brought under control.

Arson or did someone try to cook a full Irish breakfast for the first time?  If it was arson, it's a big step up from setting fire to empty buildings to one where 'several hundred people live.'

I see your stupid and raise you 1 more stupid...

After the Belfast riots, Protesters clash outside Garda HQ after 'Coolock Says No' banner appeared [on Monday]

Quote
The Coolock Says No banner attracted attention after it was seen being held up underneath an Ulster flag, and next to a Union Jack [outside Garda HQ]

Protesters clashed outside of the Garda HQ in Phoenix Park - seemingly over the appearance of a 'Coolock Says No' banner at the demonstration.

A small number of anti-migrant protesters gathered on a wet and rainy Monday afternoon outside of the Garda headquarters on the North Road in Dublin, with some carrying tricolours. But the protest appeared to descend into chaos after a number of other anti-migrant demonstrators showed up at the site carrying a Coolock Says No banner.

<snip>

“I’m tellin’ ya get out of here, get that f**king sign out of here,” one man can be heard shouting in footage taken at the small protest outside of Garda HQ. The protesters continue to shout back and forth at each other about the presence of the flag, with the man shouting: “See that, that shouldn't be with a British flag it shouldn’t" before someone appears to push the banner.

As tempers continue to rise, another man can be heard saying: “The banner is not welcome here, I’d rather you respect the people that organised it and put the banner away.” “There’s no loyalists here,” the first man says. “There’s no one getting called loyalists here, we’re f**king Irish, we don’t forget our history.”

Gardaí confirmed they were in attendance at a protest outside of the HQ on Monday.

Like I Said before .Ulster says No dont want Taigs so definitely dont want foreigners So the Ulster Says No people want a UK based Ulster the Loyalists organise the protests .Down here the agenda is different fill the place up with Foreigners then say Unless we have a United Ireland and Do away with the Good Friday we actually will be used as a back door into the UK by Foreigners .That is why the Shinners are Pro immigration .Using the immigrants as a vote getter for a United Ireland .Get the Prods in and the Foreigners Out .Anybody ever wonder where the money comes from to organise these protests .
